Headlight High/Low Beam Switch Mounting Plate (Querwand / Abblendschalterbefestigung)
This headlight high/low beam switch mounting plate is a sheet metal component used on the Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen. It is welded inside the bulkhead panel (Querwand) and provides a reinforced mounting point for the headlight high/low beam switch.
The headlight switch itself is mounted from the outside of the vehicle. Due to its long switch body, it passes through the bulkhead and extends into the interior of the vehicle, where it can be operated by the driver. The welded M6 nuts, mounting hole, and formed bend of this plate ensure correct positioning and secure attachment of the switch.
This mounting plate was used on all Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen vehicles from the start of production up to body number 035849.
