Description
Early Crankshaft Pulley (Riemenscheibe für Kurbelwelle) – 985cc engines
This early-style crankshaft pulley is a very high-quality reproduction, made according to the original pattern and factory documentation. It was used on early 985 cm³ engines fitted to the Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen as well as KdF Beetle Type 60 and Type 92.
On the earliest engines from the start of production (1940 and approximately the first half of 1941), KdF engines were equipped with a longer crankshaft. This longer crankshaft allowed the installation of the early crankshaft pulley together with the P0242 crank-handle dog nut or the earlier P0117 crank-dog nut.
When this pulley is installed on engines equipped with a standard-length crankshaft, a Crankshaft extension bolt is required in order to extend the crankshaft and allow correct installation of the pulley together with the crank-handle dog nut.
On later engines, this pulley was tightened using the standard bolt with the crank-handle socket.
When purchasing this crankshaft pulley, consider adding the following items to your cart:
– P0242 crank-handle dog nut
– P0117 crank-dog nut
– Crankshaft extension bolt
