Front Brake Drum for VW Kübelwagen and KdF Beetle – (Bremstrommel, vordere)
This is a high-quality reproduction of the front brake drum, identical to the original wartime Volkswagen part. It is made from the same type of material as the original drums – spheroidal cast iron – ensuring proper strength, durability, and authentic appearance.
The internal drum diameter is 230 mm, exactly as used in factory specifications, and is designed to work with brake linings of 4 mm thickness. The drum is manufactured with bearing seats for the original wheel bearings: 48 mm for the outer bearing and 59 mm for the inner bearing. It also has a 50 mm opening for the front grease cap.
The wheel bolt pattern is 5 x 205 mm, with threaded holes for M12 x 1.5 wheel bolts.
This front brake drum was used on Volkswagen Kübelwagen Type 82, as well as wartime VW KdF Beetle models Type 60, 92 and 82e. It was also used in the early post-war period up to 1947 on Volkswagen Beetle models such as Type 11 and Type 51.
