Wheel lug bolts made by EU bolt manufacturer exclusively for WW2VW. Threads are cold formed on a specialized thread rolling machine. Unlike cut threads, the material’s grain structure is not severed during the thread rolling process, which results in higher wheel bolt tensile strength( class 10.9, grade 8 SAE).
M12 wheel lug bolt with spherical seat can be applied to air cooled VW cars manufactured before august 1965, when Volkswagen changed bolt thread diameter to M14. 12mm bolts where used in second world war KdF era beetle Type 60, Type 82 kubelwagen, Type 82E, VW Type 166 schwimmwagen. After world war 2 Volkswagen made minor changes in bolt head design. Regardless of the head design our bolts can be applied to aircooled Type 1 beetle.
