Today’s market is flooded with aftermarket inox (stainless-steel) Beetle vintage sport mufflers for 25hp and 30hp 1200cc engines, which may provide some speed gains and a performance look, but are far from being similar to the original Volkswagen design. With the help of original documentation and a NOS (New Old Stock) Beetle Type 1 muffler as a pattern, we have recreated all the correct OEM features such as casted flanges, correct diameter runners, same sheet metal thickness, and internal baffle dimensions and location.
Our replica of the Volkswagen muffler is suitable for all Aircooled VW Type 1 Split and Oval Beetles produced from 1948 up to March 1955, equipped with 25HP and 30HP 1200cc (1131) engines.
The set includes pipe clamps to connect the muffler with the heater boxes.
