Tool Box Bracket – Gerätekasten (Werkzeugkastenhalter)
This is a reproduction of the sheet metal bracket used in Kübelwagen Type 82 starting from body number 8501, when the factory introduced the metal toolbox instead of the earlier tool bag.
It remained in use until the second half of 1943, when the metal toolbox was replaced by a simplified wooden version.
The bracket is spot-welded in the engine compartment, on the right-hand side of the engine, positioned on the small shelf next to it.
It holds the toolbox securely in place and includes correctly made holes for the rubber stops.
On the firewall, an additional shorter tool box holder was also spot-welded, helping to keep the toolbox upright.
