KZ M8 Nuts Set – DIN934 SW14 Class 8 (200 pcs)
This is a high-quality set of M8 nuts produced under our own KZ brand, manufactured according to DIN934 standard with SW14 (14 mm hex).
M8 nuts with a standard thread pitch of 1.25 mm and 14 mm wrench size were used in all early air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche vehicles. This type of hardware was commonly used throughout the 1940s and well into the 1950s. It is difficult to determine the exact point when the industry transitioned to the modern 13 mm hex standard.
These nuts were not limited to Volkswagen and Porsche applications. They were widely used across many German automotive and motorcycle manufacturers, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Zündapp, Opel, Wanderer, and NSU. During World War II, this type of fastening was standard across virtually all German military vehicles, including Sd.Kfz. transporters and tanks.
Our nuts are manufactured in strength class 8 and finished in black oxide, providing both durability and an authentic period-correct appearance.
The KZ brand already existed in the 1940s and was used by several automotive manufacturers of that era. Today, we own the rights to the KZ brand and continue its legacy by reproducing the original markings exactly as they were used historically.
We strongly recommend replacing old original nuts during restoration work, as they are often affected by corrosion and worn or stretched threads, which can compromise proper assembly.
