Front Brake Drum Grease Cap – Left 50 mm (Nabendeckel)
This front brake drum grease cap is a high-quality reproduction with correct shape, sheet metal thickness, and all dimensions matching the original pattern used in KdF factory production.
The cap has a 50 mm diameter and features a 5 mm square hole in the center. This is the left-side version. The right-side version is also available in our offer.
In Type 82, 82e and 51, the speedometer drive consists of a gearbox with two shafts and meshing gears – one horizontal and one vertical. The speedometer cable is inserted into the steering knuckle and connects to the vertical shaft.
Due to the square opening, this cap differs slightly from the original VW wartime design. However, it fits both the original cable-driven system (with square-ended cable) and our reproduction speedometer drive.
