Air Intake Pipe for Air Filter (Luftsaugrohr für Luftfilter)
This air intake pipe for air filter is a high-quality reproduction manufactured exactly like the original part installed in KdF factory production. It connects the oil bath air filter to the carburetor in Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen, Type 166 Schwimmwagen, and KdF Type 92/82e.
The pipe is pressed and manufactured exactly like the original, with correct shape and dimensions, including a diameter of 52 mm. This is not a hand-made part, but a properly produced component reflecting original factory manufacturing methods. The surface is protected with a phosphated finish, ready for painting.
This type of intake pipe was used in all Kübelwagen vehicles equipped with an oil bath air filter from 1941 until 1943, when the cyclone-type air filter was introduced. Schwimmwagen vehicles were equipped with this pipe from 1942 until early 1944. KdF Type 82e and Type 92 models were always equipped with oil bath air filters and therefore always used this type of intake pipe.
