New old stock 180mm clutch cover and pressure plate.
NOS FICHTEL & SACHS clutch cover and pressure plate for all aircooled VW`s with 180mm (outer diameter) clutch disc.
Fits volkswagen aircooled engines up to 30 july 1962 (engine unit number 6 908 640) such as 985cc 23,5hp, 1131cc 25hp, 1192cc 30hp, 1192cc 34hp.
We are offering new Original SACHS nr.1881018202 k180 clutch with 6 pressure springs (double spring, round hole).
Pressure plates and covers are factory balanced and perfectly matched with flywheel inner diameter by means of 9 centering lobes (older version had only 3 lobes).
Notice that perfect balancing and centering of our clutch cover ensures well balanced engine. That can`t be said about today’s available clutches for air cooled Volkswagens. Their lack of any form of clutch cover centering makes clutch and flywheel assembly balancing impossible. Vibration of unbalanced rotating assembly can lead to premature main journal bearing failure and cause irreversible damage to the engine.
180mm clutch can be applied to KDF era VW`s such as Type 60 and Type 82E beetle, Type 92 sometimes mistakenly named kommandeurwagen, Type 82 kubelwagen, type 166 schwimmwagen.
Also fits to Volkswagens produced after world war 2, beetle Type 1, bus type 2, Type 3.
