Description
Swing axle fulcrum plate
We offer a nominal thickness(7.95mm) drive shaft fulcrum plate for use in all aircooled Volkswagen and Porsche vehicles with swing axle split gearboxes. Fulcrum plate is a type of plain bearing with a cross-sectional shape of a circular segment (crescent) that creates a pivoting point for a rear axle shaft blade. The high abrasion-resistant material used in the production of the fulcrum plate undergoes a heat treatment process, and all surfaces are ground to dimensions within tolerance before being coated with a friction-reducing alloy.
Our fulcrum plate with a 10mm hole for locating dowel can be used in World War 2 era KdF cars with open diffs and limited slip differentials, including the VW Beetle Type 82E, Type 60 Beetle, Kubelwagen Type 82, and Type 166 Schwimmwagen. It can also be applied without compromising durability to Volkswagen and Porsche cars produced after World War 2, including the Porsche 356 Pre-A, 356 A/B/C, Porsche 912, Volkswagen Beetle Type 1, Type 2 Bus, Type 3, and Karmann Ghia.
Please note that four pieces are required per vehicle(8 for Type 166 Schwimmwagen), so be sure to order accordingly.
